APPRECIATING SHAKESPEARE: THE MERRY WIVES OF WINDSOR
July 28th at 18:30 to July 30th at 13:30
Sir John Falstaff and his unsavoury sidekicks muscle in on an Elizabethan small town. Will the locals be easy meat for the larger-than-life conman? Will his charm melt the ladies? Shakespeare’s only play to concentrate exclusively on ordinary people (plus one who is quite extraordinary) in his own social world. Lots of frothy fun, but there is vice to overcome and folly to amend.
Includes a ticket to our outdoor performance by the Festival Players on Saturday (bring a chair) and a chance to meet the troupe!
