*NEW* Poetry has a very long history embedded in human life, ranging from religious ritual to popular culture. Poets can be the first to capture experience (the great war) or reflect on the wider perceptions of human nature and society, from short sonnet to long epic. Explore the range and vitality of different periods, genres, and writers through short lectures and discussions. Texts provided. A treat for existing and future poetry lovers!
