May 4th at 18:30 to May 6th at 16:00
Ever wondered why the topography and scenery of the Lake District varies so much from the rolling foothills of Kendal to the jagged peaks of the Central Fells, to Skiddaw’s majestic yet rounded mountain scenery in the north? Find out when you travel through almost 500 million years of geological history – a story of the closure of ancient oceans, volcanoes, Himalayan-scale mountain ranges, tropical seas, swamps, deserts & ice ages.
Includes a field trip out on Sunday with some walking – wear appropriate walking boots and clothes!
N.B.: Ends at Tea Break 4pm on the last day.
