GLOBE TO GLOBE: A HISTORY OF MUSIC ASSOCIATED WITH SHAKESPEARE Pt1 (1599-1800)

RESCHEDULED DATE – This Part 1 course was postponed from its original date in April, as the tutor was in hospital. It has been rescheduled for this date. We have contacted those who had booked on to inform them of this new date and apologise for any inconvenience caused. This does, of course, give a new chance for others to join this course!

Tracing 400 years of immense influence from original staging to the re-built Globe in two parts.

This first part covers the C17th-C18th glory years of the orginal Globe, the post-Cromwellian restoration period of Purcell & Co., the world of Garrick, Leveridge, Boyce, Arne and a quick look at the first opera based on Shakespeare’s work.
