INSTRUMENTAL MUSIC OF ITALY: A HERITAGE UNDESERVEDLY NEGLECTED

September 6th at 18:30 to September 8th at 13:30

From the Gabrielis and Monteverdi, through the 18th-20th centuries, music of Rome, Venice and Nice evolved from lone instrument to piano to larger ensemble. Enjoy non-operatic works by Corelli, Vivaldi and Rossini and unjustly-neglected figures such as Cristofori, Marcadante and Martucci, ending with Respighi for some scenic orchestral description.
