PENINSULAR WAR WEEKEND – WATERLOO: THE OLD WORLD AND THE NEW

Friday March 23, 2018 at 18:30 to Sunday March 25, 2018 at 13:30

With the battle bicentenaries behind us we turn to the bigger picture, and place the Peninsular War in its global context. We look at the North American conflicts of 1812, the Haitian revolt against Napoleon, and the demise of the Spanish Empire in South America. We study the development of army medical services post-Waterloo, and the career of a famous Wolf.
