Rushbearing in the Lake District and the Rushcart in Lancashire and West Yorkshire both originated as rituals with the practical aim of strewing the church floors with rushes. Including a visit to coincide with the annual Ambleside Rushbearing, enjoy in-house talks and the local Pace-Egging custom.
