TALK & TEA: EDWARD THOMAS AND THE GREAT WAR
October 15th at 14:00 to 17:00
Edward Thomas died a hundred years ago at the battle of Arras, and the Great War was one of the things which made him a poet. Yet he was never ‘a war poet’. During the afternoon we shall read and explore those poems of his which came out of the conflict but which, with every decade that passes, seem to grow more universal in their meaning and importance.
