According to A. N. Whitehead: “The European philosophical tradition
is… a series of footnotes to Plato.” We will consider Plato’s enduring
influence examining and discussing many of his ideas including
virtue and the good life, justice in Socrates’ unapologetic Apology, the
allegory of the cave and beauty.
