WHAT MAKES A GOOD LAUREATE – A POET FOR THE PUBLIC?

July 10th at 18:30 to July 12th at 13:30

18:30 Fri 10 Jul – 13:30 Sun 12 Jul 2020

We will consider some of the historic laureates – Dryden onwards, Wordsworth (of course), Tennyson and on to the C20th ones. Is there a place for public poetry these days? Is the Laureateship now an outmoded idea?
