Aim: Paint or draw a real or fantasy butterfly in any medium
The butterfly has strong symbolic associations with hope, endurance and resurrection. In some cultures it is said to represent the soul.
Try painting your butterfly as a black silhouette in acrylic or Indian ink. When dry work on top with acrylic, gouache or watercolour to enable the colour to stand out.
