Colin Bailey – (Art History)

  • Art Historian and author

  • Held a succession of top posts: head librarian at the Barber Institute at Birmingham University, keeper of British art at Liverpool’s Walker Art Gallery and head of Humanities at Edinburgh College of Art.
  • Trained linguist

Colin is one of few westerners to have been awarded a special permit to conduct tours in St Petersburg’s Hermitage Museum. He is a traditional lecturer used to the demands of an audience, their questions, their desires and expectations, with a vast array of knowledge of his subjects and a huge treasure trove of images he has collected of official collections worldwide.
