By popular demand, this amazing example of bookbinding engineering (patented 1799) should be made at least once or even twice, in your lifetime. BOOKBINDING: LIBRARY STYLE

Friday March 6, 2020 at 18:30 to Monday March 9, 2020 at 13:30
Higham Hall College, Bassenthwaite Lake
Cockermouth, Cumbria CA13 9SH United Kingdom

We focus on one significant change in the book structures of the C19th – emerging public use. Library-style Buckram binding is one of the most satisfying. Maximum support from head to tail and a combination of endpaper, spine lining and board allow it to stand alone, unsupported. Intermediate level. Doug Mitchell (Northamptonshire www.highamhall.com/doug-mitchell) Residential: £328 Non-residential: £229 (Materials at cost)
