Fliss’s talk is an expansion of her acclaimed exhibition, which travelled from The Old Fire Station in Carlisle in 2019 to Florence Arts Centre in Egremont this year. This visual display expressed Fliss’ concerns with the current climate crisis and, more significantly, the lack of global efforts to prevent it along with a shared unwillingness to acknowledge the changes needed to protect the planet.
Fliss Watts is a sculptor, painter and printmaker, specialising in the figure and portraiture She studied sculpture at the City and Guilds of London School of Art, and has lived in West Cumbria since 1999.
