Yoga & Walking

Gill Hunter

I gained my Yoga Teaching Certificate with the Yoga Society International in 1993 and have taught classes continuously since then.  As well as teaching local classes, I worked for HF Holidays for 20 years as a Yoga Leader before becoming a Tutor at Higham Hall in 2011.  In 2007 I completed a Yoga Therapy Foundation Course run by the Yoga Biomedical Trust in London, and in 2010 I completed the Yoga for Healthy Lower Backs course.  For several years after this I ran small groups and one-to-one classes for people with severe back problems.  I enjoy teaching beginners as well as more experienced students.  The mixed ability classes I run at Higham are always good fun!

Alan Hunter

I do not lead walks or climbs for a living, but I have done so for friends and family for over 50 years.  Most of my experience in the hills has been in the UK, and in particular the Lake District.  The territory we cover at Higham Hall is all very familiar to me and is always thoroughly researched.  I enjoy passing on my mountaincraft skills, knowledge and love of these hills to the guests who join me.
