Laurence Perkins (woodwind)

  • performed with the English Chamber Orchestra
  • member of ‘Cuillin Sound’ ensemble
  • solo CDs include a disc of concertos (5 stars in the BBC Music Magazine)

Laurence brings true masterclass-level wind tuition to Higham.

For Laurence’s courses, if traveling by train, we can pick up students (and their instruments) at 5pm from Penrith Station by prior arrangement for an extra fee. This must be arranged with us in good time beforehand.

Wind Chamber course for high-advanced amateur players (diploma-standard level 1 minimum) to work in-depth on substantial original repertoire with the highest level of tuition. All works studied will be performed complete in informal concerts on the last day. The course includes a mid-week tutors' concert.
