Michael Piraner (Early Music Recorder)

  • Recorder Tutor based in East Sussex
  • Diploma of the NSW State Conservatorium of Music, Bachelor of Music from Sydney Conservatorium of Music, Master of Arts in Music from the University of Birmingham.
  • Moved to London in 1991 where he studied at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama.
  • From 1998-2001 was a recorder teacher at Newcastle Conservatorium of Music in Australia.
  • Has performed in the UK, the USA and Australia.
  • Has recorded and broadcast with various radio programmes in Australia and the United States

We welcome Michael to the team for the EARLY MUSIC SUMMER SCHOOL. As you can see, we are extremely fortunate to have his attention up at lil’ ol’ Higham.
