Michael Stewart – (Art)

  • fine art and art history Tutor with long a wide experience from West Yorkshire
  • worked for 17 years as a part time lecturer in Art History at Leeds University in 19th and 20thCentury French painting
  • has run study tours throughout Europe and North America focusing on art and architecture
  • teaches at Leeds College of Art
  • has published articles on contemporary international ceramics

Michael comes across the country to provide a serious workshop for serious artists, using his extensive experience to coach and instruct, with a solid grounding in the rudiments, principles and historical influences of art.

Explore a range of motifs to move your work in any medium or mixed-media forward, which may involve changing subject matter, scale, materials approach or some abstract experimentation. Concentrate on just one or two motifs. Consider work of a variety of great artists, relating it to your work. Highly recommended for developing artists (Sorry, no beginners for this one).
