A HISTORY OF TREES IN WESTERN MEDICINE ref: D181
Ted Wilson spent over 20 years as a forester, research scientist and educator. Dedicated to forest conservation and sustainability, he is now retraining for a second career in medicine
Trees inspire us. Trees shelter us. Trees heal us! This course explores the long history of trees in Western medicine, from traditional remedies of the past to the frontiers of modern drug discovery. We’ll also consider the healing power of trees in our landscape and their contribution to our well-being. An afternoon designed for lovers of trees and people.
