Higham Hall College has been a beacon for lifelong learning for nearly 50 years.
Nestled in the spectacular north-western Lake District, we are a residential adult education college in a 200-year-old, grade-II listed country house set in 6 acres of mature gardens. We welcome students of all ages and abilities from all over the UK and beyond.
We offer more than 350 courses a year on subjects ranging from heritage crafts to botany, music to archaeology; all courses are delivered by leading experts, artists, makers and musicians. We also present regular concerts, lectures, exhibitions and outdoor theatre in this beautiful setting.
We celebrate and champion the importance of creativity and lifelong learning in our lives and provide a place of welcome and unhurried ease where everyone may find the space, time and support to learn, make, reflect and grow.
We care for our historic building and grounds to ensure that this special place will always be a haven of inspiration, wellbeing and learning.
