CHINESE BRUSH PAINTING: BIRDS

Birds are a lively element in Chinese paintings and thus a common feature along with flowers. A variety of birds will be covered, both large and small. We will paint in both freehand and meticulous, realistic styles. We will also look at composition as space is such an integral part in traditional layouts and we only need to paint the ‘essence’, rather than filling the paper with ink or colour. Suitable for all levels with support and encouragement tailored to each student, from beginners to advanced.
