The geological history of England spans almost 700 million years of time, which is reflected in its great diversity of rocks and spectacular landscapes. Come on an exciting journey that will encounter cataclysmic volcanoes, extinction events, oceans and mountain ranges, now all lost to time.
This is an entirely indoor course delivered through a series of illustrated talks. A large selection of geological specimens from across England, as well as thin sections, relevant maps and books, will also be to hand for inspection.
