ELECTRIC GUITAR – DEVELOPING THE SKILLS

We will look at various aspects of electric guitar-playing, including how to develop your chord vocabulary; approaches to scales and solos; how to learn songs; strumming and rhythm playing; tone and how to practice. The sessions will be geared towards students’ needs and may include other areas of interest. A very basic level of playing ability is required: if you can only play a few chords, that’s fine. No prior knowledge will be assumed. The aim is to give you the tools to learn and develop what appeals to you about the electric guitar so your enjoyment of the instrument is enhanced and your playing can continue to improve.
