In this talk, we’ll explore philosophical perspectives on change, drawing on insights from al-Ghazali, the Daodejing, and John Dewey. Al-Ghazali sees change as a divine opportunity for spiritual growth, the Daodejing encourages harmony with life’s flux through wu wei (effortless action), and Dewey views change as a force for learning and adaptation. In reflecting on these views, participants will discover ways to approach change with intention, flexibility and resilience; fostering a deeper engagement with life’s transformations.
