SHAKESPEARE IN THE GARDEN: THE COMEDY OF ERRORS

Saturday July 25, 2026
Cost
Tickets adults £20, school children £15

The Festival Players return, performing Shakespeare’s high-energy comedy, where confusion occurs when two pairs of identical twins, shipwrecked and separated as babies, end up many years later in the same town and are repeatedly mistaken for each other.

We are hoping for good weather, despite the title of the play, but the show will go on if we have to hand out umbrellas. Open 1.30 pm for picnics. Bring your own seating. Well-behaved dogs welcome. Open to all. This performance coincides with Clare Smout’s APPRECIATING SHAKESPEARE course, which will focus on this play and includes a ticket to the performance.
