Steve's patient and analytical approach encourages students to develop their own sense of creative practice, and their technical approach to, and understanding of, their work.
As Steve says, 'an artist's job is to reflect upon, and think critically about, the times and culture in which they live.' Drawing frequently on contemporary art history and cultural theory, Steve's courses offer ‘art school’ content outside of the institution of the art school itself, and in keeping with the philosophies of continuing and accessible education.
