Tutor Karen Quickfall used her lockdown time very wisely. She worked on a manual for Ruskin Lace which will serve textilers for years to come. This book is a worthy successor to the influential work in Ruskin Lace teaching of the late Elizabeth Prickett, who, Karen states in her Acknowledgements, told her she would one day write a new book on the technique!
Spiral bound to make use easy, and illustrated throughout, this weighty, slightly larger than A5 sized landscape tome of over 180 full colour pages is available here at Higham for £25 and from Karen. We have limited signed copies. This is a very high quality manual that all Ruskin Lacemakers will want to own, so get it whilst it is available! Karen has self-published to keep costs down, but it is professionally printed and very impressive. It would also make a great gift.
