BLOCKPRINTING

We will explore tessellation, pattern and repetition through the prism of Block Printing using lino and rubber stamps. We will take inspiration from traditional Indian block printing as well as mid-twentieth century design. You will carve your own blocks using specialist tools, experiment with how to print onto paper and fabric and learn how to design a block to create continuous, interlocking patterns.
