EXPLORING HEDGEROWS AND VERGES THROUGH ART AND SCIENCE
May 11th at 18:30 to May 14th at 13:30

Enter the world of hedgerows, roadside verges and flower meadows to explore the flora and fauna of the valley landscape of the northern Lake District through science and art. On this brand new course co-taught by a scientist and an artist, venture out to investigate close-up how particular plants and animals relate in these habitats from a scientific perspective. We will use this experience as inspiration for a creative artistic response to nature. The course will stimulate questions and conversations around natural beauty including aspects of colour, pattern and visual form, providing a unique opportunity to expand your knowledge and understanding of the natural world and at the same time express your artistic vision through drawing and painting.
