SPRINGTIME STRAWBERRY THIEF

William Morris’s iconic ‘Strawberry Thief’ thrush has been re-imagined in a beautiful springtime colour palette and worked in a range of surface stitch techniques.  The project includes buttonhole stitch and variations, knots and various loop stitches ornamented with whipping and seeding stitches.  Over-dyed DMC stranded cottons and C21st Yarns are worked on a cotton ground with additional beads, sequins and metallic threads for a shimmering effect.
