Exploring techniques which can be used freely within areas of plain weave without needing to be concerned about being in the right shed. These include loops, tufts, types of soumak, exposing warps, weaving over multiple warps and changing wefts. This course is based on chapter 8 of the book Woven Tapestry, art and practice by myself and Ros Bryant.
