SUMMARY:SILVER JEWELLERY - PENDANTS\, BANGLES AND EARRINGS
DESCRIPTION:During this course students will create three beautiful pieces of designer jewellery – a pendant\, earrings and a bangle\, using both silver sheet and wire. Techniques include saw piercing\, filing\, roll printing/texturing\, wire forming\, soldering\, riveting and finishing. This course is suitable for beginners and intermediate students. Rebecca will bring three designs to work from\, but ideas can be flexible. \nStudents should have reasonable manual dexterity as they will learn how to use hand tools such as saws\, hammers & soldering torches.

Karen\, a leading expert and author on Ruskin Lace\, brings extensive knowledge to support and guide you whether it is your first encounter with this heritage craft or you are already addicted! You will work on linen fabric using a combination of drawn thread and cut linen work\, with the distinctive geometric designs created using needlelace techniques specific to this type of lace. This course is suitable for both beginner and experienced needleworkers. If required\, a starter pack (£15) is available to purchase from the tutor.
