SCULPTURAL NEEDLEFELT – WHIMSICAL WREATHS
Make a couple of Whimsical Wreaths for Christmas, decorated with needlefelted characters: Father Christmas, Reindeer, Robins and Polar Bears, felt holly, mistletoe and ivy. All these decorations will be wired and poseable - with the idea that the wreaths can be taken apart after Christmas and the characters recycled for another year, or used as
WINTER BIRDS
Imagine spectacular gatherings of Barnacle and Pink-footed geese against a backdrop of a winter sunset and the massed pipings of thousands of waders as they swirl in the sky. Our Solway and Cumbrian coast is wintering ground for many species prior to their northward migration, hosting an exciting array of raptors. Hone your identification skills!
ESSENTIAL DRAWING SKILLS: MARK MAKING AND MATERIALS
Develop or improve your essential drawing skills through understanding the many ways in which ‘line’ and ‘mark making’ may be used in drawing. YOGA AND CIRCLE DANCE
Yoga and Circle Dance complement each other beautifully. Yoga practice - postures, breathing techniques, relaxation - will alternate with sessions of circle dancing, which is drawn from many countries and cultures, celebrating the seasons, is enjoyable, easy to learn and no partners are required. SILVER JEWELLERY: BANGLES, PENDANTS, PANELS AND BAUBLES
This jewellery course is aimed at beginners, but more experienced students are very welcome (but please let the tutor know if you will not be doing the set projects).
