Was screenwriter of the movie Buster starring Phil Collins and Julie Walters, producer of Lovejoy starring Ian McShane. Wrote and presented the Archive on Four programme on Sport and the Movies for BBC Radio Four, books: Manchester United Ruined My Life (1998), Manchester City Ruined My Life (2013), George Best & 21 Others (2004), National Service (2-12),Hollywood Goes To War (1979), Hollywood in Crisis (1996), play Rumours (2013), about Private Eye and the Macmillan government at the time of the Profumo Affair, was BBC Radio Drama of the Week. Writer & producer of a 6-part 1989 TV drama Young Charlie Chaplin starring Ian McShane & Twiggy
