Peta studied Chinese brush painting under several Chinese tutors in the UK.  She is a member of the Chinese Brush Painters Society. She taught Chinese brush painting at Alston Hall in Lancashire until it closed. Peta loves encouraging this style of painting as you only paint the ‘essence’ of what you are portraying, leaving space for the imagination to complete the picture.  It has a different attitude to composition and perspective from Western style painting.  The style of teaching concentrates on building confidence through techniques then allowing scope for experimentation in a fun and relaxing way.
