Andrew's teaching and research interests include the English Civil War, C17th and C20th European history. He has published widely on English history c.1400-1700. His books include The Cult of King Charles the Martyr (Boydell Press, 2003) and the English Civil War in 100 Facts (Amberley Publishing, 2017).
For many years, Andrew has combined teaching at the University of Cambridge Faculty of Art and Architecture and Institute for Continuing Education and Oxford University Department for Continuing Education with a career as university librarian at Trinity Hall, Cambridge and University of Leicester Special Collections.
