Jill Fogden

Jill trained at Chetham’s School of Music in Manchester and the Guildhall School of Music in London. She is an experienced pianist/accompanist and has performed throughout the UK. She is a freelance accompanist for the RNCM School of Vocal Studies and Opera, The Manchester School of Theatre and for local students taking exams. She is an accompanist for the Chetham’s Summer School and Chester Choral Week. She has been an accompanist for Manchester University, Leeds College of Music, Northern Ballet Academy and the British Federation of Festivals. She also worked for several years as a pianist at the Centre for Advanced Dance Training at The Lowry and Northern Ballet School, where she also taught singing. She has taught piano for many years and teaches at Chetham’s School of Music and Loreto High School. As well as being a musician, Jill qualified as a solicitor in 1997 and worked as a solicitor until switching to a full-time musical career in 2011, when she released an album of her own original songs “Listen to my story”. Jill is delighted to be accompanying the flautists on Rachel Holt's 2026 course.
