Born in Tokyo to an established musical family, Yoshiko trained at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London. She was a member of the Rogeri Trio for five years, giving concerts internationally, including dates at the SBC and Wigmore Hall. Their acclaimed recording of works by Dvorak, Smetana and Suk was followed by similarly acclaimed release of works by Rawsthorne. She performed the premiere of John McCabe's A Woman by the Sea with the Rubio Quartet at the Wigmore Hall and abroad. She continues to perform with a variety of artists in the UK and abroad and is on the faculty of th Centre for Young Musicians in London.
