Support Us

Higham Hall College is an educational trust and a charity which owns and operates the historic buildings and grounds of Higham Hall as a centre for the provision and advancement of adult education. We depend entirely on income from our courses. We are the custodians of a 200-year-old grade II listed building that is feeling its age, and there are financial challenges ahead that cannot be met from earned income alone.

You can support Higham by becoming a Friend, by making a donation or leaving a legacy. If you have a skill and some time on your hands, you can also join our fantastic volunteers who provide valuable practical support in all sorts of ways.

Help Higham continue to thrive and ensure that this special place will always be a haven of inspiration for creative minds and lifelong learning.

Donate

We welcome donations towards specific projects where your gift will have a transformative impact. Gifts can be one-off or pledged over a number of years. We also welcome gifts of shares or property which offer significant tax benefits to the donor.

Leave a Lasting Legacy

A gift in your will is one of the most special and enduring ways that you can support Higham and play an important part in preserving it for future generations. Every legacy gift we receive, however large or small, will make a valuable contribution and have a meaningful impact.

Become a Friend

Membership of the Friends is through annual or monthly subscriptions which help to sustain Higham year-round.

Volunteer

Volunteers play a vital part in the work we do at Higham, bringing a wealth of skills, knowledge and enthusiasm and providing their time with great generosity. We welcome people from all walks of life to get involved.

Gift Aid is a government scheme that allows us to reclaim the basic rate tax you pay as a UK taxpayer. If you pay income tax, this means that we can claim 25p of tax for every £1 you donate at no extra cost to you.

How does it work? When you make a gift aid donation, you use money that has already been taxed. If, like most taxpayers in the UK, you are a 20% taxpayer, you will have made your donation out of income that has already suffered 20% tax. We take your donation and then reclaim from HMRC the 20% tax that you originally paid.

If you are a UK taxpayer, simply print out this Form, fill it in, and return it to admin@highamhall.com

If you are unsure whether your donations qualify for Gift Aid tax relief, please refer to HMRC website at: https://www.gov.uk/donating-to-charity/gift-aid

Gift Aid does not involve you in any further payment.

Alternatively, you may wish to donate online through Total Giving and this will automatically ensure that the reclaimed tax comes to us direct.

Whilst there is no obligation to inform us, letting us know of your intentions allows us to express our thanks during your lifetime. To discuss or inform us about a gift in your Will to Higham Hall, please contact the Principal.
