North and West of Higham is the Solway Coast Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB). Fiona’s courses focus on this area rather than the more obvious Lakes National Park, as it is quieter, yet still full of historical and natural wonders.

A journey through time visiting less well known heritage sites on the Cumbrian Solway coastal plains. See ancient places of worship, once thriving seaports, forgotten estuary crossings. Explore the sweeping Solway coastline and abundant wildlife habitats. Hear Solway stories. A mix of indoor and outdoor venues with short off-road walks so dress for weather and walking.
