Lis started doing patchwork in 2006 but has been sewing most of her life (dressmaking, embroidery, blackwork, etc)
Has a City and Guilds certificate and diploma in patchwork and quilting.
Lis has taken over from Janette Fairer and came highly recommended to us by several people who know her from the Lancashire circuit. We warmly welcome her up to Higham as we recognise the significance of upholding disciplines such as Quilting both as a pastime and also as a heritage craft.
We have tried to put examples of certain techniques below – Lis can help with anything you are already working on (we know the term UFO – Unfinished Objects – is recognised in many Quilting circles). By its nature, quiliting can start off with small projects and expand infinitely. Lis can start you off if needs be or you can bring existing work for attention and Lis advise as you go along.
