Chris trained as a Maths teacher in schools, but quickly realised that his passion in life was for Music. Since 1995, he has taught within Adult Education, in his home area of Blackpool & the Fylde, and also for Lancaster University’s Dept of Continuing Education (closed 2008) and Alston Hall (closed 2015). He is very keen to support Higham Hall as one of the few remaining centres in the North-West for Life Long Learning. Although classical music was his earliest musical love, he has developed an equal enthusiasm for many forms of pop music, especially the period from 50’s blues and rock ‘n’ roll through to 90’s Britpop and electronic music, with the 1970’s being his favourite decade!
