Contemporary fine artist from Carlisle, Ceri studied at City & Guilds School of Art, London, has exhibited widely in international collections, in Carlisle City Museum & Gallery and St Mary’s Hospital, Paddington. Was awarded first prize in the Cumbrian Open exhibition in 2007

Ceri’s depth of knowledge about artists and styles is exceptional and filters through to her courses. She is a stunning artist in her own right and, as evidenced by those who know her, a generous and lovely person – ideal for Higham.

‘For many years I have been working on a recurring theme, that of the figure in a mainly urban environment. I am interested in creating a sense of place and sometimes a sense of separateness. My work has been developed from preparatory sketches, photographs and memories’. CA

Our most recent courses with Ceri have her focusing on monthly ESSENTIAL SKILLS coursewhich offer, little by little, comprehensive coverage of the foundation skills of Art – something we feel is critical for anyone serious about properly honing their potential to understand the whys and wherefores of their painting and drawing.

In addition, Ceri also occasionally offers a longer more in depth course on themes for those Artists wishing to delve into taking inspiration from some of the major artsitic movements of the past.
