BOTANICAL ART IN COLOURED PENCILS: DEPICTING HOUSE PLANTS
Monday January 27, 2025 at 18:30 to Sunday February 2, 2025 at 13:30
In the winter months, when botanical choices are limited, house plants can provide some interesting challenges for the botanical artist. They have undergone a recent revival in popularity and there are lots of interesting and often unusual types to choose from. Flowers can be optional – or exotic – but colour may also be a feature of variegated or strongly patterned leaves. Even plain green leaves may have interesting shapes, structure and surfaces and then there are succulents with their wonderful pattern formations, subtle colours, often with ‘bloom’ or high shine surfaces so there will be plenty of choice!
