Knowing how to make ‘Enclosures’ is an important part of bookbinding
whether they be for the protection for the item during storage or
whether they are part of the whole decorative presentation of the
book they protect. Over this long weekend we will be making a ClamShell Box and Case with an additional pop-up Slip-case mechanism,
personalising the interior with felts or decorative papers and then
covering it all in various strong and durable book cloths.
