This course will examine a range of binding styles and structures commonly used in contemporary bookbinding or book artists’ practices. The work is distinguished by an innovative, exploratory approach using materials in unorthodox and novel ways with potential for further adaptation and modification. The course will be practical and hands-on, using paper, board, card and cloth, assembled with adhesive, thread or friction. Suitable for beginners and those with previous bookbinding experience.
