During this course we will look at the traditional counted hand embroidery techniques of blackwork, pulled thread work and drawn thread work on evenweave fabric. This course is suitable for all levels of experience. We will explore each type of stitch from start to finish, with added variations to aid understanding. Helen is one of the UK’s leading artisan hand embroiderer and historian specialising in all aspects of traditional and contemporary embroidery and embellishment. She can demonstrate left or right-handed. This course runs back-to-back with Helen’s Advanced Goldwork course, 23-26 Sept.
