WOMEN WRITERS OF THE LAKES

The literary landscape of the Lake District has been dominated by men, and its female writers, both 19th and 20th century have often been overlooked. The course will look at the lives and work of Dorothy and Dora Wordsworth, Sara Coleridge, Harriet Martineau, Beatrix Potter, Margaret Forster and Sarah Hall.
