Anne-Lise is a Circle Dance tutor and choreographer who lives and mainly works in North Cumbria. She has attended numerous workshops, classes and courses in Circle Dance and has taught in earnest since 1996. She runs local classes in North Cumbria as well as delivers courses and holidays nationally and abroad regularly. She sees this form of community dance, with music and steps from around the world as a way of fostering understanding of different cultures and ways of life and finds it brings people together in a joyful way. Her main focus is about bringing a sense of family, belonging, physical and mental wellness to her dancers through the medium of music and movement. Anne-Lise has used Circle Dance through the decades to also raise money for charities and help celebrate birthdays, weddings, memorial services and other community events. This form of dance also works very well in tandem with other activities and Anne-Lise shares some of her dance courses with singing, yoga and Pilates at Higham Hall
