John Gough has enjoyed a busy career with engagements taking him to America (including the Carnegie Hall), Denmark and throughout the United Kingdom. He has given many broadcasts on BBC Radio 3, also recording for Radio 2, Classic FM, World Service, S4CTV and BBC TV. As soloist he has appeared with the Royal Liverpool and Royal Philharmonic ‘Pops’ Orchestras, the Northern Chamber Orchestra and at the Wigmore Hall, Purcell Room, and the Buxton and Chester Summer Festivals. As a chamber music player, he has given live broadcasts of the complete piano quartets of Brahms, Dvorak and Faure. For 30 years he was Senior Tutor in Piano and Accompaniment at the RNCM, also the Junior School at RNCM, Manchester University and Chethams School of Music. As examiner, he has worked at the Royal Academy, Guildhall School, Royal Birmingham Conservatoire, and for the Universities of Manchester and Huddersfield.
